Karri is starting to win over Charpie and his dislike for sour beers with Rodenbach Flemish Red Brown Ale (Beer Advocate) and Rodenbach Gran Cru (Beer Advocate).

Bill is drinking Sierra Nevada Torpedo (Beer Advocate).

Charpie visits Off the Grid, a food truck market in San Francisco.

Bill gives a shout out to Bravo Pizza.

Joe tests out the new Grilling Addiction spice rub. So far, so good.

Charpie thinks BBQ Pitmasters on Destination America is turning into a clown show and realizes the only way he’ll get through this season is by playing the BBQ Pitmasters Drinking Game.

Joe finds a list from Destination America of the top 10 BBQ and grilling websites.

Joe and Charpie talk about making the Bacon Explosion.

What’s Grillin’ – Gifts for Dad

Joe recommends getting dad a super nice set of tongs. Read Charpie’s tongs post.

For the dad who’s the gadget lover, Charpie recommends a laser thermometer. Check ‘em out.

Joe also recommends some grilling baskets.

If dad doesn’t have one already, an electric rotisserie is also an excellent idea. The guys both have Weber rotisseries which are available for gas and charcoal grills.

Shout out to Andrew Zimmern‘s Go Fork Yourself podcast.

A good set of grill mitts is something that every dad should have. Check out Joe’s post on finding the mitt that fits.

Joe mentions the Charcoal Companion BBQ Pit Mitt (video), but he’s not sure if it beats out a basic leather set of mitts.

Does dad have a good grill brush? A nice grill brush can be a great, cost effective gift. For these, you don’t have to go overboard. Standard wooden handled brushes are the best bang for the buck. Avoid plastic brushes because they’ll melt! See Charpie’s review on the Weber Style brush.

For the charcoal griller, chimneys are always nice to have. Even if you’ve got one already, an extra can be handy to have around.

Joe talks about his Steven Raichlen pepper roaster.

Joe also talks about grilling lights for cookin’ in the dark! Check some out here.
