This is my everyday BBQ dry rub. It goes great with an array of foods (pork, beef, chicken, veggies, etc.). I encourage people to make it their own by tweaking the quantities of the ingredients as well as substituting and/or adding others. Mix up a large batch so that it’s always on hand!
Here’s a great side combining two classic grillin’ ingredients: red potatoes and asparagus. Mixed with fresh herbs and a light vinaigrette, this dish is not only healthy it’s delicious!
Grilled Ahi Tuna Napoleon is always a crowd pleaser and a great appetizer. If you’re cooking for a crowd, this dish allows you to get a treat off the grill quick with just a little bit of prep time the day before letting you get back to grillin’ your main dish.
The art of planking brings easy, yet impressive, techniques to the grill and infuses dynamic and complex flavor components to grilled food. Not only does it add flavor, but grilling on wooden planks allows food to be grilled that would otherwise be difficult to cook on a grate.
A great recipe for beginning “plankers” is Cedar Planked Salmon. This recipe combines minimum prep time, readily available ingredients and a quick cook time to take an already flavorful fish to new heights. Every time we make cedar planked salmon it seems to surprise someone new at how good it really is.
For our final submission to the 2011 Better Home and Garden Chill and Grill Grilling Showdown Contest, we offered up our good ol’ standby chicken leg recipe. It’s incredibly easy, incredibly delicious and a great way to kick off spring grilling!
Just spotted this quick grillin’ sauce by Emeril Lagasse on SiriusXM. I’ve done similar sauces before and this quick thinking by Emeril is a great example of technique over memorization. You can easily learn 10 great recipes, but with 10 great techniques you can make 10,000 recipes without ever having to look them up. Use this great summer sauce for veggies, fish, chicken or whatever you like!
